IONOS, Europe’s leading hosting provider and cloud enabler, is expanding its dedicated server portfolio to include 14th generation Intel Raptor Lake processors. The high-performance Xeon E series CPUs are ideal for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), IT departments, startups, and software developers.

Advanced technology for modern applications

IONOS has developed the new server configurations for web hosting and e-commerce platforms with high data volumes. The servers are optimised for fast reading and writing as well as data-intensive processes, making them ideal for database management and business analytics.

The improved virtualisation features enable multiple virtual machines to be managed efficiently. They can be used to develop and test complex applications and support edge computing and modern computing applications such as IoT and real-time analytics. Thanks to low latency, the server configurations are also suitable for demanding multiplayer gaming.

Why Intel Raptor Lake?

The new dedicated servers with Intel Xeon E processors (codenamed Raptor Lake) are based on an innovative hybrid architecture with Raptor Cove performance cores and Gracemont efficiency cores.

Performance and speed: Raptor Lake processors offer a significant performance boost through optimised architecture, more cores available and greater efficiency, especially for complex workloads such as web hosting and databases.

Memory and future-proofing: Support for DDR5 RAM and the latest graphics cards via PCIe 5.0 ensures faster response times and better scalability for future upgrades.

Energy efficiency: Advanced 10nm manufacturing technology offers greater energy efficiency and better performance compared to older generations, with lower operating costs.

Overview of the models

IONOS now offers two new models with the Raptor Lake processors. The smaller model, Intel Xeon E-2456, is configured with 6 cores /12 threads x 3.3 GHz max. 5.1 GHz Turbo Boost, 64 GB RAM and 1024 GB storage capacity and is available from 81 euros per month. It is particularly suitable for web hosting and smaller databases. The premium model Intel Xeon E-2578 is aimed at users with demanding workloads that require more RAM and storage capacity. From 132 euros per month, you get 8 cores /16 threads x 2.8 GHz max 5.2 GHz turbo boost, 128 GB RAM and 2048 GB storage. The following table provides an overview of the rates:
