IONOS expands its dedicated server portfolio with four offerings featuring the new AMD EPYC™ 4004 CPU. The EPYC 4004 series uses DDR5 memory and is particularly suitable for operating streaming servers, high-traffic websites, web shops, or mail servers.
Alexander Troshin, Product Marketing & Business Development at AMD said: “IONOS is expanding their server portfolio with AMD EPYC 4004 Series CPUs to enable their customers with enterprise-grade performance, dependability, scalability and modern security features powered by the highly efficient “Zen 4” architecture.”
Innovative blade centres save energy
The AMD CPUs are installed in innovative blade centres (server housings) that IONOS has developed itself. Thanks to the innovative architecture, several blades (servers) share a common, intelligent energy control system. Idle servers are thus supplied with power more efficiently, resulting in energy savings of up to 15 percent compared to conventional server architecture.
Four new processors in the portfolio
IONOS offers four options with EPYC 4004 CPU, which differ in the number of cores, RAM, and storage space.
CPU | RAM | Storage | |
AE6-32 NVMe M | 6 Cores | 32 GB | 512 GB NVMe SSD |
AE6-32 NVMe L | 6 Cores | 32 GB | 1024 GB NVMe SSD |
AE8-64 NVMe L | 8 Cores | 64 GB | 1024 GB NVMe SSD |
AE8-64 NVMe XL | 8 Cores | 64 GB | 2048 GB NVMe SSD |
