Insert Images in a Column Element in MyWebsite
Please use the “Print” function at the bottom of the page to create a PDF.
For the Website Builder and MyWebsite
The column element allows you to arrange images in different sizes and with individual labels next to and below each other in your MyWebsite. You can create up to 5 columns.
This article describes a function of the editor that was ordered before 06.09.2017.
Please select your editor version.
Step 1
- Log in to MyWebsite.
Step 2
Click Insert Elements and open the Structure & Design category.
Step 3
Decide how many columns you want to insert and drag and drop the corresponding symbol to the desired position in your MyWebsite.
Please note: With 2 or 3 columns it is possible to select columns with different widths. Note the different symbols. Once you have decided on a particular column layout, you cannot change it later.
Step 4
In the example here 3 columns with the same width were placed on the web page. To insert an image, click the + symbol in the image placeholder. Then click on Select image.
Step 5
Now select an image. You have the following options:
- You take an image that is already in the image archive of MyWebsite. Of course, you can also use an image from the IONOS image database (from MyWebsite Basic). These can be found in the IONOS Pictures directory. There you will find a large selection of professionally prepared images that you can use freely on your MyWebsite.
- You upload a new image. To do this, click on Upload images or simply drag and drop the image into the appropriate area.
Please note: Only image files with a maximum size of 5 MB can be uploaded.
Step 6
Once you have found or uploaded a suitable image, mark it by clicking on the + symbol in the upper right corner and then click on Insert image.
Step 7
You will now see an image preview. Click Save to save the image.
Step 8
You can insert images in the other columns in the same way. To add more images to a column, click the corresponding icon in the Edit menu. To edit or delete the image, move the mouse over the image and click to open the options menu. You also edit the heading and text in exactly the same way. When you are satisfied with the design, finish editing by clicking Close.
