Creating and Using Spring Anchors

With the jump anchor function, links (shortcuts) refer directly to a specific section on a page of your MyWebsite Now project. For example, to display an order form or input field directly after a longer text block. This article explains how to create and use jump anchors.

The jump anchor function is not available in all MyWebsite Now tariffs. If you have any questions about your tariff, please contact the IONOS Customer Support.
Calling up the MyWebsite Now Editor
- Log in to your IONOS account log in.
- In the title bar, click on Menu > Websites & Shops.
Optional: If you have several MyWebsite Now projects, select the corresponding contract. - In the tile with the name of your online project, click on the button MyWebsite Now open. You will find this tile on the right-hand side of the browser window. The Presence Suite for this project opens.
- In the Presence Suite menu bar, select the item Website editor. MyWebsite Now opens in a new window.
Creating a Spring Anchor
A page of your website project consists of several sections that contain individual elements such as graphics and text. You can use the jump anchor function to assign a name to a section. The section can be accessed directly via this name.
Click on Pages in the left-hand MyWebsite Now menu bar .
To the right, under Page structure, select the page for which you want to create a jump anchor.
In the left-hand menu bar of the MyWebsite Now editor, select Contents.
On the selected page, move the mouse over the top left-hand corner of the desired section. The button Section options button is displayed.
In the left-hand menu, select Section options > Elements> Set anchor.
Assign a name.
Complete the jump anchor system with Done.
Notice
A jump anchor name can only be assigned once per MyWebsite Now page.
Jump Anchor for Texts, Headings, Images and Buttons
You can find out how to work with content elements in the Help Centre article "Inserting and editing content in your MyWebsite Now ".
To create a jump anchor for content elements:
Click on an element in the editing mode of MyWebsite Now. Text, headings, images and buttons are permitted.
Click on Link > Page. An overview of the existing pages is displayed.
Click on the eye & anchor symbol to the right of the page name. Available jump anchors for this page are displayed with an anchor symbol in front of them.
Select the desired jump anchor.
Complete the process with Done.
Jump Anchor for Navigation
You can find out how to create a navigation in MyWebsite Now in the Help Centre article "Creating a navigation menu".
To create a jump anchor for a navigation element:
In the editing mode of MyWebsite Now, move the mouse over the desired navigation element.
Click on Manage> Custom.
Create a new navigation element via Add and click on the corresponding triangle symbol to display available pages.
Click on the displayed eye & anchor symbol to the right of the page that contains the desired jump anchor. Jump anchors available for this page are then displayed with an anchor symbol in front of them.
Click on the anchor symbol to the left of the desired jump anchor.
Complete the process with Done.
Please note that you are creating a customised navigation. This replaces any existing standard navigation.
