This article will explain how to install the Monitoring Agent on your Dedicated Server using a Microsoft Windows operating system to get information about free disk space or running processes. To do this, you must log on to the server and download the installation file in your browser. You can then install the Monitoring Agent.
Connect to the server via Remote Desktop.
Log on to the server as an administrator.
Open your browser.
Download the Monitoring Agent. A list of the available versions can be found here.
Open the Windows Explorer.
Open the folder containing the installation file.
Unzip the zip file.
Start the installation by double-clicking the install_monitoring_agent.exe file. The Monitoring Agent is then installed. To enable the monitoring policy to retrieve more information about the server, the existing ICMP rule must be enabled in the Windows firewall.
On the Home screen, click Control Panel.
Click System and Security.
Click Windows Firewall.
Click Advanced Settings.
Click Incoming Rules.
Enable the File and Printer Sharing rule (echo request - ICMPv4 incoming).
