The"Relaying Denied" Error Message

The Relaying Denied error message says that someone tries to send emails through the SMTP port of a mail server, but the mail server uses authenticated SMTP (with the sender's username/mail address and password). Furthermore, the mail system for Dedicated Servern is preconfigured by default so that it only receives emails for the domains configured on the mail server.

If you receive this error message when you try to send emails via a mail server, check your email settings, especially the type of email transmission (authenticated SMTP) and the user name and password of your email account. If you have your own mail server, make sure that your mail system accepts emails for the domains configured on the server that do not come from local users. For security reasons, we therefore recommend that you use SMTP Authentication for sending emails.
