Upgrading Managed Nextcloud and Apps

The Managed Nextcloud main program and the default apps are automatically kept up to date by IONOS. This article explains how to update additionally installed apps.
Requirement
- You are logged into your Managed Nextcloud installation as an administrator.
Update from Managed Nextcloud
To update apps in your Managed Nextcloud:
- Log in to your Managed Nextcloud.
- In the top menu bar, click the circle icon with your profile photo or the first letter of your username to open the context menu.
- Select Apps > Updates. Apps with available updates are specially marked.
- Click the Update All button to apply all available updates.
Manually Restart Apps
After an update, some apps may remain deactivated. To restart apps manually:
- Log in to your Managed Nextcloud.
- In the top menu bar, click the circle icon with your profile photo or the first letter of your username to open the context menu.
- Select Apps > Your Apps to get a list of your installed apps. Note that disabled apps are listed at the bottom of the app list, regardless of sort order.
- Click the Activate button beside the app you want to restart.
Note
Apps that you no longer need or are no longer being developed by the manufacturer should be uninstalled for security reasons.
