Valid for all IONOS partner programmes.

To manage projects for clients, such as setting up a website or building a managed cloud environment, you create customers in the IONOS Partner Portal. Domains, contracts, and tasks can be assigned to these customers to facilitate easier project and order processing. This article explains how to create your customers in the IONOS Partner Portal.

Creating customers

To create a customer in the IONOS Partner Portal:

  • Log in to the IONOS Partner Portal with your access data.

  • In the navigation bar on the left, click on Client management > Clients.

  • In the top left-hand corner, click on Add client.

  • Complete the fields and finalise your entry by clicking Save .

Transfer customer data from request

As soon as your partner profile on the IONOS Partner Network is publicly visible, customers can contact you directly. These contacts are displayed centrally under the menu item Client management > Requests in your IONOS Partner Portal menu item.

In the detailed view of an enquiry, you can use the Add client button to use the specified data for a customer creation or assign it to an existing customer. The enquiry is permanently assigned to the new or existing customer.

Access authorisation by customer

Note

This feature is not available for the IONOS ISV Partner Program.

If an interested person is logged into their IONOS account, they can also send a release for full or partial access directly via your partner profile. The number of invitations received for you is displayed directly next to the Clients menu item.

Click on Requests in the left-hand navigation to display the invitations in detail. You can use the Assign request to another client option to transfer the customer data for further collaboration. You can either create a new customer or assign the access authorisation to an existing customer.

Use the Reject invitation option to reject the authorisation and inform the interested party of this by email. You can add a personal message to this standard e-mail.
