Reviews, such as the reviews that Google displays in a search, are an important part of your online reputation. The AI response assistant from rankingCoach supports you in responding to customer reviews. This article explains how to set up and use the AI Answer Assistant.

Activate automatic review responses

  • Log in to your IONOS account.
  • In the title bar, click on Menu > Online Marketing.
  • On the rankingCoach tile, click on the button Open. rankingCoach opens in a new window.
    Optional: If you have several rankingCoach projects, select the desired project in the selection field below the rankingCoach menu.
  • In the rankingCoach menu, click Online Reputation > Reviews > Activate automatic response.
  • Select the type of reviews for which a response should be prepared, e.g. only negative reviews.
  • Confirm the activation of the AI response assistant.

If a new review is found, the AI reply assistant automatically creates a reply based on the content of this review. The content of this response can be influenced by various settings.

Manage review settings

To edit the review settings, click on Settings > AI Assistant in the rankingCoach menu. The following options are available to you:

General assistant settings
  • Automatic language recognition: Recognises the language of the review and writes the response in the same language.
  • Target group: Responses take into account the age of your customers and can be expanded by providing a detailed description of your customers.
  • Tone of voice and creativity: Formulates answers according to the selected specifications.
  • Gender-neutral spelling: Answers are formulated in a gender-neutral way.
Review settings
  • Immediate notification: You will be informed of new reviews by email.
  • Reply settings: Enables the generation of response suggestions.
  • Automatic reply: If this option is active, reviews are answered by the AI reply assistant without you having to approve them.
