Linking the Online Shop and Email Marketing
Connect your IONOS Email Marketing with your IONOS Online Shop to include product images, prices, and descriptions in your email campaigns. This article explains how to do this.

Combining Email Marketing and Online Shop
The link between Email Marketing and the Online Shop is established using a free app in your Online Shop. You can read more about the general functionality of apps in your Online Shop in the Help Centre article "Shop apps".
The following step-by-step instructions describe how to connect email marketing to your Online Shop for the first time.
Install IONOS Email Marketing Connect app
The following steps are carried out in the Online Shop.
- Log in to your IONOS account.
- In the title bar, click on Menu > Websites & shops.
Optional: If you have several online shops or website editors with shop integration, select the corresponding contract. - In the menu bar on the left-hand side, click on My Shop > Configuration: Apps > Tab: App market.
- Enter IONOS Email Marketing Connect in the search field.
- Click on the IONOS Email Marketing Connect app tile > Install > Install. After successful installation, the configuration menu of the app opens.
- Copy the RSS link displayed.
Configure within Email Marketing
You are logged into your IONOS account and have previously copied the RSS link. The following steps are carried out in Email Marketing.
- In the title bar of your IONOS , click on the tile Menu > Online Marketing > Email Marketing. The IONOS Email Marketing opens.
- In the menu on the left-hand side, click on Settings > Tab: IONOS Online Shop > Button: + IONOS Online Shop.
- Insert the RSS link in the field IONOS Online Shop catalog data RSS link.
- Confirm the entry with Next. A combination of letters and numbers is displayed under Interface access.
- Click on the letter-number combination to copy it.
Please note: For security reasons, the letter-number combination under Interface access is only displayed once.
Activate in the Online Shop
You are logged in to your IONOS account. The following steps are carried out in the Online Shop.
- Click on My Shop > Configuration: Settings > IONOS Email Marketing tab in the menu bar on the left-hand side. Please note that, depending on your screen resolution, not all tabs may be displayed. Scroll all the way to the right using the arrow icons on the tab bar to select the IONOS Email Marketing tab.
- Enter the copied combination of letters and numbers in the IONOS API Key field.
Optional: Activate the sliders Sync Opt-outs from Store to IONOS and Sync Opt-outs from IONOS to Store to manage the unsubscription of email addresses between email marketing and the online shop. - Finish your entries with the button Save Changes . Once the connection between the Online Shop and Email Marketing has been established, the IONOS Activate integration is displayed.
- Click on the button Activate.
An existing connection between email marketing and the online shop can be deactivated again at the same place.
Insert Online Shop products in email campaign
How to create an email campaign is described in detail in the Help Centre article "Creating an email campaign". The following step-by-step instructions describe how to add Online Shop products to an existing campaign:
- Click on Campaigns in your email marketing menu. An overview of your campaigns that have already been sent and those that are still in draft status is displayed.
- Click on a campaign with the status Draft. The editing view opens.
- Click on the Edit content button.
- Select the Link tab in the menu on the right-hand side. The existing integrations are displayed.
- Click on the tile of the desired IONOS Online Shop.
- Select one of the block templates displayed. These determine how the product from your online shop is graphically integrated into your campaign.
- Click Next to display the existing products from the selected online shop.
- Select the products to be advertised in the email campaign. The search field displayed can be used to restrict the products that can be selected.
- Click Apply to add the selected products to the campaign.
