Valid for IONOS Email Marketing.
For IONOS Email Marketing, you must decide which domain to use as part of the sending address. This article explains how to change the domain name used for sending email campaigns.
Note
An automatic domain connection in Email Marketing is only possible with domains registered with IONOS.
Use domains from other providers
If you have a domain with another provider or if the automatic connection is not possible, the connection must be established manually via DNS entries. The Help Centre article "Manual domain connection for email marketing" describes how to do this.
Change sender domain
- Log in to your IONOS account.
- In the title bar, click on Menu > Online Marketing > Email Marketing. The administration interface of IONOS Email Marketing opens.
- In the menu bar on the left-hand side of the screen, click onSettings > Tab: Campaign settings.
- Click on the Connect domain button. A list of the domains you have already purchased will be displayed.
- Select a domain and enter any name in the input field for the sending subdomain.
- Click on Connect domain.
- Click on the button To the domain host IONOS. A new browser window opens.
- Confirm the change to the DNS settings in the new window by clicking Connect. The domain link is now established. Please note that the DNS update takes approx. one hour, or in rare cases up to 48 hours.
Click Close to finalise your entries.
