In this article, you will learn how to change your sender address in your Email Marketing and change the domain if necessary.

Prerequisite

  • A valid e-mail inbox must be created for your sender address.

Change Sender for Email Campaign

To change the sender address for your email campaign:

  • Log in to your IONOS account.
  • Click on Menu > Online Marketing > Email Marketing. The IONOS Email Marketing opens.
  • In the menu bar on the left-hand side of the screen, click on Settings > Tab: Campaign settings.
  • In the Sender name field, enter the name that should be displayed in the From field of your email.
  • In the From field, enter the part of your email address before the @ sign.

You can find out how to change the part of your email address after the @ sign (domain) in the following section "Changing the sender domain".

Changing the Sender Domain

  • Log in to your IONOS account account.
  • Click on My Products > Online Marketing > Email Marketing. The IONOS Email Marketing opens.
  • Click on Settings > Campaign settings tab in the menu bar on the left-hand side of the screen.
  • Click on the Change domain button.
  • Enter a subdomain in the field before the dot and one of your domains after the dot or select one of the domains linked to your IONOS account from the drop-down menu.

In the example shown, the subdomain is newsletter and the domain example.com.

  • Click on Change domain. A new window opens.
  • Click on the Go to domain host IONOS button. An additional window will open in the top right-hand corner of your screen.
  • Click on the Connect button in the new window.

You have successfully connected your domain to Email Marketing by IONOS. You can now close the window.

Note

The automatic domain connection is only possible with domains from IONOS.

If you have a domain from another provider or if the automatic connection is not possible, you need to connect the domain manually. How to do this, is described in the Help Centre article Manual adjustment of DNS entries for sending newsletters.
