Microsoft 365: Setup fails
Please use the “Print” function at the bottom of the page to create a PDF.
When setting up Microsoft 365, the following data stored in the IONOS account is transmitted to Microsoft and then checked:
Name
Company name
Postal address
To successfully complete the setup, the following requirements must be met:
Your name, company name and address must not contain any commas or apostrophes.
Your name and company name must not consist exclusively of numbers.
The postcode you enter must be correct.
If an error is detected during this check, the setup will not be completed. In this case, a general error message will be displayed. In this case, proceed as follows:
Check the data stored in your IONOS account and make any necessary corrections. You can find detailed instructions on how to do this in the following article:
Change customer data at IONOSThen wait 10 minutes for the changes to take effect in all systems.
Then repeat the setup of the user account. The required steps are described in the following article:
Microsoft 365: Assign the necessary administration rights to IONOSOptional: As soon as Microsoft 365 is set up, you can change the data stored in your IONOS account again and re-enter the previously stored data.
