In this article, we'll explain how you can tell on your IONOS invoices whether a domain is included in your basic monthly price (base fee) or charged separately as an additional domain.
Included Domains
Included domains are those which are already included in your contract and its price.
Depending on the contract, the number of included domains varies. You can find out how many domains are included in your contract in the Contract Information & Options section of your IONOS account.
On your invoice, the included domains are listed with the basic fee.
Additional Domains
Additional Domains are those which are charged in addition to your monthly basic fee. Typically, additional domains are billed on an annual basis.
There can be several reasons why a domain is being billed as additional, including the following:
- You have already exhausted the maximum number of included domains.
- The selected domain extension is only available as an additional domain.
On your invoice, additional domains are listed as individual items after the basic fee.
