Opening phpMyAdmin

For IONOS Web Hosting and Managed Server packages

phpMyAdmin is a web application used for the administration of MySQL and MariaDB databases, and it comes pre-installed in all IONOS web hosting packages that include at least one database. Once you've set up your database in your IONOS account, you will find a link that brings you right into phpMyAdmin to manage your database.

Prerequisite

You have already created your database.

How to start phpMyAdmin:

  • Log in to IONOS and open the Databases page in the Hosting section.

  • Click Open next to the database you want to edit under PHPMYADMIN.

    A new window will open with the phpMyAdmin start page. You can now manage your database.

Caution

Changes you make in phpMyAdmin become active immediately and cannot be undone. Be especially careful with the Delete and Empty functions.
