Web.config and Global.asax are not Considered

For Windows Web Hosting packages

In order for the global settings for an application to be taken into account, this must first be marked as an application on the server. The following steps are necessary for this:

Step 1

Log in to IONOS and select the relevant contract if necessary.

Step 2

In the Hosting section, click Webfiles.

Step 3

Click on Call.

Webfiles is opened.

Step 4

On the Webfiles menu, click File > Application Settings.

Step 5

Select the directory where the application is located and click Add.

Your application is now marked on the server and executed with the global settings.
