With AI Email Assistant, you can write, translate and summarise your emails quickly and easily with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

In this article, we show you how you can use AI to summarise the content of your emails in IONOS Webmail .

Note

AI Email Assistant is a paid extension and is therefore not included in Webmail by default. You can learn how how to order AI Email Assistant in the article Webmail:Add AI Email Assistant .

Summarising the Text of an Incoming Email with the AI Email Assistant

To summarise the text of an incoming email with AI Email Assistant:

  • Log in to Webmail log in.
  • In the left-hand navigation bar, click on Inbox and select the desired email.
  • Click on the AI button in the email toolbar and select Generate reply.
     
  • The summary is displayed above the original email text.

Summarising the Text of an Outgoing Email with the AI Email Assistant

To summarise the text of an outgoing e-mail with AI Email Assistant:

  • Log in to Webmail log in.
  • Click on New message in the left navigation bar.
    Optional: If you do not see this button, click on the email icon in the menu bar at the top left.
  • Write your message, select the text you want to summarise and click on the AI button.
    Optional: You can insert text that has already been summarised directly into your message by placing the cursor where you want to insert the text and clicking on the AI button.
  • Under Action, select the Summary option.
    Alternatively: If you have not selected a text to be summarised, enter a new text in the Your input field.
  • The summary created by the AI will be displayed in the Generated reply field.
  • To insert the AI-generated text into your email, click on Use reply.
    Optional: If you are not satisfied with the generated text, click on Regenerate.
