Migrating Microsoft® Exchange 2019 Mailboxes to Another Contract
Please use the “Print” function at the bottom of the page to create a PDF.
For Microsoft Exchange 2019 as an add-on or as a standalone contract
If you purchase multiple Microsoft Exchange 2019 contracts with one IONOS account and set up separate Microsoft Exchange 2019 mailboxes in those different contracts, you will not be able to share certain groupware features, such as global address books or public folders. This also applies if you purchase Microsoft Exchange 2019 licenses in different contracts and use those licenses to set up Microsoft Exchange 2019 mailboxes.
To enable sharing of these groupware features, you must move the relevant Microsoft Exchange 2019 mailboxes to a single contract. To do this, please contact IONOS Customer Service.
To migrate Microsoft Exchange 2019 mailboxes to another contract, the following conditions must be met:
The Microsoft Exchange 2019 contracts were purchased within the same account.
At least one Microsoft Exchange 2019 mailbox must be set up in the target contract.
You purchased the required number of licenses in the target/destination contract where you are moving the Exchange accounts.
Attention
Before migrating the Microsoft Exchange 2019 mailboxes, make sure that the domains you purchased under the Microsoft Exchange 2019 contracts are moved to the target contract.
After migrating the Microsoft Exchange 2019 mailboxes, you must cancel the Microsoft Exchange 2019 contracts that you no longer need. If you have purchased Microsoft Exchange 2019 licenses in different contracts, you must cancel the licenses you no longer need after migrating the Microsoft Exchange 2019 mailboxes.
