TLS

TLS (Transport Layer Security) is an encryption protocol used to encrypt traffic between parties, such as with the delivery of an email.

TLS is on the technical side the successor of SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), but the term SSL usually refers to both the encryption protocol SSL and the successor protocol TLS.

All of IONOS's SSL Certificates use TLS without naming it separately.
