ICANN Verification
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) requires the email address entered for the domain owner must be verified.
If you register or transfer a generic top-level domain (gTLD), or if you later change the contact email address of the domain owner, you may be asked to confirm the information you have entered. This verification is necessary if the contact email address entered for the domain owner is not yet stored in our system or if you are a new customer.
If an ICANN verification is necessary, we will send you an email with a verification link to the address stored for the domain owner. If you change the domain contact in IONOS during this time, the verification process is cancelled and begins again.
